Joylynne’s Story
Hey there!
My name is Joylynne. I am an on-location, travelling freelance makeup artist based in Vancouver, BC. After my high school graduation, I earned a Freelance Makeup Certificate from, Blanche Macdonald Center, an award-winning beauty school in Vancouver.
I have always been an artist, romantic and planner. I knew I wanted to somehow be a part of weddings and special events. Whether that be a wedding planner, graphic designer, engagement+ wedding photographer :) or makeup artist. It started out when I was a kid. I would put together mini photoshoots with friends. I would do their makeup, hair, outfit styling and I would also take the photos (I still do this to this day!!!).
Since my graduation from the Freelance Makeup Artistry Program, I have had the honour of glamming faces for special events. I have curated quite a collection of handpicked, safe and well-loved products for my professional makeup kit.
I am all about customized eyebrows, lashes and everything in-between.
—Aside from being a makeup artist, I am a certified full-time Early Childhood Educator. I work in an Infant and Toddler daycare room aduring the week.
—I have taken 23andMe. My results came out as, 48.8% Chinese, 39.5% Chinese Dai, 6.6% Vietnamese, 2.9% Indonesian, Thai, Khmer & Myanma, and 2.2% Broadly Chinese & Southeast Asian.
—My Myers Briggs Type is an ISFJ.
